| About Us | Charles Critchley MBCI - Biography Charles Critchley is a Director and founding member of Acuity Group. With an engineering background, Charles moved into the world of IT management as the challenges of Y2K approached. Working for a large multinational corporate Charles accumulated a wealth of experience both as a consultant to the Senior Leadership Team in Europe and subsequently as a business partner within the Global IT function. |

His experience spans IT solution delivery and support, change program management and business process engineering where he worked on the Global consolidation of services and transition to an external provider. He was subsequently invited to develop a business continuity program and established an innovative approach to business continuity planning which was subsequently recognised as the Global standard. Charles is actively involved in the development of Business Continuity practice and continues to work closely with the BSI to ensure that Acuity Group services reflect best industry practice. He has successfully taken BS25999 to implementation and audit in the UK, and is a member of the BSI’s prestigious Accredited Consultant Program (ACP). |

Julie Thomson - Biography Julie Thomson is Acuity’s Account Director and is a founding member of Acuity Group. |

Julie moved from retail to a number of senior roles in an international FMCG corporation, including sales, marketing, customer management and finance positions. Here she gained first hand experience of managing large scale changes, which impacted heavily in the areas of supply chain, finance and HR. These were major projects, carrying major risks, including the outsourcing of global support functions and consolidation of manufacturing sites. Unexpected events, both during normal business hours and whilst implementing the projects frequently put pressure on the company’s best laid plans to deliver ‘business as normal’ to its customers. The experience and insights she gained in these projects led her to specialise in the area of risk and crisis management. |

Working in business continuity planning became the natural next step. In 2006 Julie co-founded Acuity Group with Charles which gave her the opportunity to share her expertise and knowledge with a wider group of businesses. |
